About

Rachel is a Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing for over 10 years in a diverse range of settings including hospitals, non-government organisations and in private practice.

Rachel is passionate about working with adults and children who experience a range of mental health and life challenges. Her areas of interest include working with people who’ve experienced trauma or have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression, Bipolar Disorder, as well as people with psychotic disorders who may also be under the care of their GP or Psychiatrist. She enjoys working with people who are neurodivergent (e.g., ADHD, Autism), as well as those who may be experiencing periods of stress and adjustment or who require support with parenting.

Rachel works alongside her clients to help them reach their goals and improve their lives using evidence-based therapies. She regularly uses therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Rachel will begin therapy with a thorough assessment before discussing treatment options to determine what might suit the client’s situation.

Rachel can also provide formal diagnostic assessments for ADHD and Autism, as well as for mental health disorders when required for Centrelink or NDIS purposes, for example.
